Yesterday, Makeyourwallpaper.com reached the 1000 visitor per month milestone. I hope you all like the webapplication. I improved the dropshadow functionality, the dropshadow leaked on the inside of the border which isn’t the case anymore.

I would like to hear, if you have any feature requests or improvements for the application. I am planning to create some generative art functions for the background of the wallpapers.

Support for dual monitor

I remember my wallpaper issues with dual monitors, makeyourwallpaper solves it. The lower entries in the resolutions list are for dual monitors. I have chosen the most common dual monitor setups, however feel free to contact or comment for missing reolutions.

In 2009 I developed a flash application to create wallpaper, for several devices. In the beginning of 2011 I started rework this application as an open standards javascript / HTML5 application. And here it is, with support for multiple images. I had a lot of fun developing it and will continue to develop it. Since it uses some advanced html5 API’s older browser will not be supported.

I hope you find th app usefull. Please feel free to post some remarks or feature requests.
